| '04 Whitewater Symposium |
| This is the second year for the Symposium on all that is whitewater paddling. This years event was held at the Nantahala Outdoor Center. This was my first year attending the Symposium and I was plesantly suprised by how good the experiece was. I was able to sit in on open forums that discussed different aspects of the sport and where the industry is headed as well as take classes with some of the best instructors in the sport. The event was a great opportunity to hear what paddlers, instructors, and retailers are looking for from whitewater kayaks and whitewater kayak companies.
Next year's Symposium will be in Glenwood Springs, CO, sometime in late September of '05. I hope to see more manufacturers, more paddlers, and more retailers at next years event.
