Started Paddling: I've grown up around water and in boats with my parents but I didn't get my own boat until I was 9 years old (1997) my first boat was a kayak. I was 12 when I started C-1ing.

Countries Paddled: Austria, Australia, Canada, Ecuador, New Zealand, South Africa, and Zambia.

Specialty:  C-1ing, play boating, being crazy and having lots of fun.

Current Boat Quiver: Fluid Flirt Medium, Small Fluid Solo, Medium Fluid Spice, Robson CU Fly (open canoe)

Films: Wet Dreamin' '03 east coast play boating, Fluid Promotional video

Favorite Kayaking Film: We designed 'em

Favorite River: Potomac

Favorite Creek: Maybe monkey creek in NZ

Favorite Playspot:  I love the dries, La chine, Garberator, Inner city strife, but i have to say my favorite playspot is Spin-dry on the Potomac just because it's my local hole and I’ve learned  many tricks there.

Favorite Wave Move: Off-side helix (Left) I am still working on this move but it is really awesome and I can't wait until I have it perfected. I like it because it requires a completely clean initiation/take off.

Favorite Hole Move: Mcnasty and Ponix monkey: both of these moves have a bow pirouette combined with a front loop. The McNasty starts beckwards, then does a 180 spin and the bow and finishes In a front loop. The phonix monkey starts forwards, then does a full 360 spin on the bow and finishes In a front loop.

Favorite Fast Food: Subway because it's fairly healthy for fast food and it tastes good. But I also have to love the dollar menu at micky-dees… Honestly where else can you get food for a dollar?

Favorite After Paddling Restaurant: The Phunkey Monkey in Zambia. I definitely have some good memories from there.

Favorite Kayaking Event: That's a tough call - I love most kayaking events, although the ones that really stand out in my memory are the 2003 and 2005 World championships and Fibark was quite fun last year.

Favorite Quote: An adventure is only an inconvenience rightly considered. An inconvenience is an adventure wrongly considered.

WW Certifications: Umm… well, I'm a life guard if that helps. lol.

Role Models: Mostly anyone that has achieved things that impress me, or that I to would like to achieve, but have not yet.  People who are very successful but are still normal, friendly, down-to-earth people, that didn't get huge egos because of their success. My friends and my parents.

First Descents: I am mostly a playboater. I only started creeking this past year, so I have not made any significant first descents yet. I have, however, made first descents down some tiny creeks and the alley behind my house when it was flooding. And my foam boaters have definitely got some SWEET first descents.

Last Significant Thrashing: I was raised by Chuck Norris. I don't get trashed. I only have Chuck Norris Round House Kick any obstacles I encounter into glaciers.

Musical Taste: I have a huge variety. Right now i'm listening to Fallout Boy, Blink 182, Avenged sevenfold, red hot chili pepper, sublime, nirvana, 311, sum 41, underoath, emery, jack johnson, three doors down, five Iron frenzy, offspring, relient K, nelly, OPM, linkin park, guns 'n roses, pearl jam, hinder, the aisling, red oranges, signal the escape, tailor made fabel, no doubt,  perfidious, switchfoot, fuel, bullets and octane, wolfstone, death cab for cutie, breaking benjamin and the list goes on and on. The only stuff I won't listen to is country and some pop singers… Britney speares for instance, and classical when I’m driving in the car. It puts me to sleep, which is not very good.

Other Interests: When I'm not kayaking I enjoy hanging out with Chuck Norris and my friends, going to concerts, making jokes, playing the drums and guitar, practicing with my band "The Aisling" you should check us out. www.myspace.com/theaisling

I also enjoy spending time with beautiful ladies, I love skiing, the beach, I want to learn how to surf. I really love meeting new people and trying new things. I'm easily contented; there is really not very much stuff that I don't like.

Longest Drive to Paddling Destination: Well, the longest drive I've done to go paddling is either from my house to Canada or Rock Island Tennessee. But that's trips where I actually drove myself. The longest trip I’ve rode in the car to go kayaking was from Hagerstown MD to Denver CO.

Longest Trip to Paddling Destination: Last winter I traveled to South Africa and Zambia and then a month later I traveled to Australia and New Zealand. Both of those trips were the longest I've traveled to go paddling.
