I've paddled just about every plastic boat that has come out in the ten years I've been boating and I can tell you there were some slow times waiting for designs to catch up with our imagination. Fear not! Today's paddling is only limited by time and the price of petrol. Celliers Kruger and The Fluid Folks have produced the finest playboat I've ever paddled! Thus their first time out!
I know, we've all been reading the ad's for years, "loosest hull ever!" Take my advice, don't believe the hype! With the magnitude and long list of tricks out there design has never been so critical. Give the Flirt a try and I bet you'll be as amazed as I was. The rocker apexes are spot on for getting big air and timing huge backstabs, it just feels natural in this thing. With the optional fins this hull is designed to carve with the best.
No matter how you slice it the Flirt combined with my freethinking style has amped up my rides big time in a short period. Weighing in at 160lbs some companies just kept banging out the same design in the wrong sizes year after year. The range of Flirts (S, M, & L) are all well balanced to perform on waves and holes, don't be caught with your seat all the way back.
Check for demo's at your local dealer, or next time you see one on the river don't be shy ask to try, a lot of the people paddling Fluid's have been at it a long time and switched because they see the difference and would be glad to share the experience.
