The summer Outdoor Retailer show in Salt Lake City is always an amazing event. No where else in the world can you see so many outdoor toys under one roof. Every company brings thier latest greatest gadgets, and this year was no exception.
At Fluid Kayaks we have been working on a lot of different projects over the past year. The biggest and most exciting for us is the Nemesis project. The Nemesis is our latest playboat that is due to hit the market very early in '07. This boat has been through more than 6 prototypes and test paddled on many of the biggest waves in the world. The boat has been extensively tested on the Zambezi, Nile, Ottawa, and Indian Ocean. Stay tuned over the next two months for some sweet final prototype testing stories and pictures.
Besides the Nemesis we are also introducing the S Spice in early '07. The S Spice will be a very small version of our already popular river running series. This boat is targeted at bigger kids and smaller women in the 75-130 lb weight range.
We are also making small evolutionary improvments in our outfitting in order to manufacturer the strongest and most comfortable outfitting in the industry. Besides the outfitting fine tunning we are also working on a surf kayak designed to work on both river and ocean waves. We don't have a release date for this boat as of yet, but when the thing is perfect we'll let you buy one:) The boat will be released in composite first and possibly in plastic later.

An exciting addition to Team Fluid at OR this year was the Addition of Tyler Bradt. Tyler has been pushing the limits of whitewater paddling over the past few years and also working hard to promote sustanible energy. We are really excited to have Tyler on board the Fluid Team.
